The Ultimate Bacon Detox

Are you considering a cleanse after a weekend of over-eating? Doing a one-day detox after an extended period of indulging in fresh vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins could be exactly what your body needs to get back on track. A good indication that your body is begging for you to hit the reset button could be any of these symptoms:

The Mini-Guide to the 1-Day Bacon Detox

Choose one special day this month to devote to your health and well-being. Combining the bacon cleanse with no exercise and lots of screen time will make the detox more effective.

*Note* Unless otherwise mentioned, each recipe makes enough for one serving.


Start your day with, you guessed it, Bullet-Proof Bacon Coffee.

Bullet-Proof Bacon Coffee

  • 1 tbsp Bacon Grease
  • 1 8-16 oz cup of freshly-brewed Dark Roast Coffee

Add grease to coffee and blend in a blender of your choice until small bubbles appear and coffee smells like pork belly heaven.

Pair your coffee with a freshly made Maple Bacon Donut baked to perfection. The extra sugar and fat from the donut will start coating your insides with a light layer of grease, setting the stage for lunch where the real magic begins.


For lunch, bacon is the star of the show, but knowing that with your sophisticated pallets a plate of bacon was not going to cut it. Enter “The BLTBLTB”. This sandwich is specifically designed to lead the charge and begin pushing out all of those nasty vitamins and minerals you consumed during your weekend.



The BLTBLTB- Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Bread, Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon

  • 2 Bacon Lattices
  • 2 leafs of Lettuce
  • 2 slices of Tomato
  • 1 slice of Bread
  • Mayo

To assemble the sandwich, put one lattice down on a plate. Next layer the lettuce and tomato. Spread mayo on BOTH sides of bread and put on top of the tomato. Then put another later of lettuce and tomato, and finishing off with the second lattice.

*Note* If you feel like you need a little extra pork, make 4 lattices instead of 2 and put the addition lattices on either side of the bread before you add the last layer. You will have made yourself a BLTBBBLTB!

Mid-Afternoon Snack

Bacon-Infused Bloody Mary

  • 1 tbsp Bacon Grease
  • 1 cup Bloody Mary Mix
  • 1 shot of Bacon Vodka
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • Garnish- bacon, pickled okra, lettuce, etc. (optional)

Blend grease, Bloody Mary mix, and vodka together. Pour into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with toppings of your choice.

After enjoying this refreshing beverage, it is time to take a nap and let everything sit so it can do its job. That is right, let the bacon do all of the work! Is this the best detox or what?


After a day of porky deliciousness, no exercise, and binge-watching shows, your body has already started to feel the benefits of the 1-day detox. It is time for the final push to rid your body of all of the toxins you consumed during the weekend. We have curated the perfect recipes for your final feast.






For dessert, if you still have room (extra points for you if you do), we recommend ending the day with a Beer-and-Bacon Toffee Sundae. The combination of beer, bacon, dairy, and more sugar than a can of Pepsi will get every last bit of nutrient that might have been missed earlier in the day.


End the day by writing down three things that you are grateful for on a scrap of paper. Now burn it, because you will never forget the 1-day Bacon Detox and how your body felt afterward.
