Berry green smoothieThere’s something about consuming a bunch of fruits and veggies in one glass that makes me feel like I’m doing something really great for my body. Smoothies are great to take with you for a breakfast on the run and they are a fun kid favorite especially when served with a straw.

For quick cleanup, fill the blender jar halfway with water with a drop of dish soap. Blend on high. Rinse.

Berry Green Smoothie

Makes: 3 servings

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup water
1 cup vanilla almond milk, or milk of choice
2 cups fresh spinach, rinsed
2 cups frozen mixed berries
1 banana, peeled
Option to use frozen fruit if you like.

DIRECTIONS:
Add all ingredients to a blender in the order listed. Start with a low speed and gradually increase speed to very high and blend until desired consistency is reached.
