May is just around the corner, which means warmer weather and loads of outdoor fun! May is also skin cancer awareness month, so let’s talk about ways you can safely have fun in the sun without sacrificing style.
I have a very personal experience with skin cancer. I’m a survivor of stage 3 melanoma. I’ve learned to be diligent and cautious about my sun exposure while still getting out and enjoying the season.
Let’s work together to redefine beautiful as it pertains to skin. PALE IS PRETTY! Thankfully, society seems to be moving to a place where we see pale skin and consider it healthy, beautiful, and classic. I’ll take that!
Here are some of my favorite tips and tricks to being safe in the sun and fashionably pale:
If you are really craving a sun kissed look, there are some great sunless tanners on the market. They can be quick and easy to use, but more importantly they don’t expose you to damaging UV rays. But remember, pale is beautiful!
