U.S. military spouses from every branch, stationed all over the world, are banding together in support of personal health. The exact number who have chosen to frequent gyms and read ingredient labels isn’t known, but approximately 2,000 have already registered for a six-day, free, online summit starting Mon. Oct. 19. Their movement to bust through the barriers and hardships that accompany military life has caught wind and is spreading fast.

“We believe with the right structure and environment, healthy behavior can be contagious,” Kimberly Bacso, says Military Spouse Wellness Summit co-host. “The summit was designed for military spouses, by military spouses in the hope of supporting individual change.”

Those involved are reported to be armed with powerful resources and have been identified as friendly and supportive. Their mission is to inspire healthy eating, physical activity, and mindful living.

Wellness activists will be onsite during the event week to offer aid. Many featured speakers are trained professionals, eager to help.
